Consultant for the Somali Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Dahabo Omar Mohamed was born in Mogadishu, Somalia 31/12/ 1944. She is married with four grown children and spent over 25 years as a diplomat for Somali Embassy in several African countries, she held different positions in the Foreign Ministry of Somalia. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Administration and Management in Somalia and later completed her Masters Degree in Gender Development Studies in the University of Nairobi. With her vast experience and background, Dahabo authored a book on improving public sector performance in Somalia in 2013. She currently works as a consultant for the Somali Ministry of Foreign Affairs and serves as a member of IGAD MSU.
